About:

As Managing Director of Lawley Retirement Advisors, Todd provides advisory services to retirement plan sponsors and their participants, specializing in fiduciary governance, retirement plan design, investment strategy, and participant education & engagement.

Experience:

With 20+ years of experience, Todd partners with employers across diverse industries to strengthen fiduciary governance, optimize plan design, and improve participant retirement readiness. He advises plan sponsors on prudent fiduciary processes, investment menu development, and compliance requirements, while working with committees to oversee investment due diligence and support effective governance. Todd also leads participant education initiatives focused on improving financial literacy, engagement, and confidence, helping individuals make informed decisions about saving, investing, and preparing for retirement.

Prior to Lawley, Todd held key roles in sales and relationship management with Principal Financial Group and John Hancock Retirement Plan Services. This experience deepened his understanding of recordkeeping platforms, investment structures, and plan operations.

Accreditations:

Todd is an Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF) and Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor (CPFA). He holds FINRA Series 7 & 66 licenses, a NYS Life, Accident, & Health license.

Education:

Todd earned a bachelor’s degree from Mercyhurst University.

Honors:

Todd’s work has earned industry recognition, including being named to the National Association of Plan Advisors Top 50 Plan Advisors’ Under 40 and the Financial Times 401 Top Retirement Advisers list.

Community and Pro Bono:

Todd is actively involved in his community, serving on the board of the Buffalo Hearing & Speech Center and participating in St. Joseph’s Collegiate Institute Alumni Association.
